As expected by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education, standardized interviews of applicants are conducted as part of the admissions process to assess characteristics including self-awareness, leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, and professionalism.
Interviews are by invitation only and are scheduled September through April. Not all applicants are invited to interview; applicants not selected for an interview will not be considered for admission.
Once the University of South Carolina has received a verified PharmCAS application, the Admissions Committee will review the application and selected applicants will be invited to interview for admission consideration into the Pharm.D. program.
The interview day is approximately half-day and consists of an overview of the program by an administrator, two 30-minute one-on-one interviews, and a tour of the college. Applicants will have the opportunity to conduct their interview day in person or virtually, for those unable to make it to campus.
