K-12 Teacher Development

Our center enhances and supports the professional growth of educators by providing hands-on content workshops. We believe that effective educators are lifelong learners and that professional development is an ongoing process of enhancing our understanding of how children develop and learn, advancing our content knowledge and learning new practices.

Southern Regional Education Board:

University of South Carolina College of Engineering and Computing is an Affiliate for Southern Regional Education Board (SREB).  SREB offers Middle Grades STEM projects awaken student’s natural curiosity about the world and deepen their understanding of scientific inquiry and the engineering design process- all while introducing them to exciting, tech-driven  careers.  USC host teacher training each summer in person to introduce middle grades STEM teachers to SREB’s approach to project-based learning.  For more information, visit SREB.
